MY WEIGHT LOSS STORY:
In March of 2008 at the age of 36 years old
I joined Weight Watchers, which I have succeeded on in the past.
By the end of June that year I had lost just over 19 pounds, I
was feeling great and then the summer came around. Gradually little
by little I started gaining weight back. All of a sudden in the
late fall my knees started to hurt when I would walk up and down
the stairs and when I sat on the floor to play with my six year
old son, my legs really hurt to cross and it was difficult to even
keep them crossed. I, at this point was completely disgusted and
as usual complained to my girlfriend Camille. She had mentioned
a trainer that she was going to and I just forgot about it.
Christmas came around and my husband, Gary bought
me a gift certificate for 10 personal training sessions with 2
free to Absolutely Fit in North Bellmore (the same place my girlfriend
Camille was going to). I was so excited, I was ready. Camille called
Christmas morning and said we already have the start date booked
and we are going to train 3 days a week, we are going January 5th
2009. I walked in on that day not knowing what to expect and met
my trainer Sue Sachs. I weighed in at 196 pounds, not only did
I gain all of my 19 I had lost the year before but I gained an
additional 3 pounds on top of that. I just looked at Sue and said
you really have your work cut out for you. We discussed my goals
and what I was looking for and she assured me if I kept going to
her and changed my eating habits that I would see results. She
immediately made me feel comfortable and I felt as if I had known
her for a long time, we just clicked right away.
The first 2 weeks I honestly had a hard time
walking; I was so sore and didn’t even realize the muscles
I had that were aching. I lived on Advil and got through it. In
3 months I am proud to say I had lost 18 pounds and an overall
of 12 body inches. I still have a way to go but I honestly feel
so much better. It’s not about being on a diet, for me it
was a life style change. Now I can't believe that I look back and
I am 28 lbs lighter and healthier.
In February I joined the spin classes at Absolutely Fit with Susan
and Wendy and as intense and hard as they are I really love going.
I’m still training 3 days a week and spinning at least 4
days a week. I honestly love this new life style I have created
for myself. I owe a great big thank you to my girlfriend Camille,
my husband Gary, Sue and Wendy. Everyone is so supportive and really
keeps me going to be the best that I can be.
I am truly grateful for finding Absolutely Fit
and my trainer Sue. For the first time in a long time I feel healthy
and in much better physical shape.
By far this is the best gift that I received
but even more importantly the best gift to myself and my family.

only just begun!

I have been doing
personal training with Wendy for almost one year.
Wendy has helped me to change my body and my life. In just
a few
months, I was able to fit back into my pants. But what is even
more
impressive is how spectacular I feel. The increase in my energy
level
has given me a sense of renewal. I have a newfound reservoir
of
enthusiasm. Wendy is amazing.
So why has Absolutely Fit been such a success for me? We do
something
different every time. The variety actually makes the hard work
a lot
of fun. I look forward to my workout three days a week. There
is
also a very high level of professionalism at Absolutely Fit and
everyone is very cheerful and encouraging always.

55 years old
and loving exercise
Who would have thought at 55 I
would love to exercise? I
always loved walking, but never thought I would love to do personal
training. Then one day my doctor told me I was at risk
for osteoporosis and I needed to start an exercise program soon. Then
he told me I had high cholesterol too and that soon meant NOW!
I had heard about Susan and Wendy
through the neighborhood. If
you know these 2 women, you would agree they were the ones to
help me. I called them that day and went
over my medical history and findings. A program for “ME” was
put together and I began my training sessions with them.
OUCH AND WOW all in one is all I can say!
I train 3 times a week and I have
never felt better. It’s
been 6 month s of training and now I do it all. Weight
training, boxing, spin and cardiovascular training. You
name it I can do it. I am stronger and fit all around. I
even lost 15 lbs, which I wasn’t even going there for,
but they got the weight off of me too.
Overall health and fitness, INSIDE AND OUT. Personal
training is AMAZING

Personal training was right
for me.
As I sit here and write this testimonial I think about
who I was before I met Wendy and Susan. I was out of shape
and over weight. I just had a baby several months before
and I was unhappy with my body and my health. I was exhausted
and didn’t give myself any time for ME.
Someone told me about these two women and explained to
me the group fitness classes.
That clearly was not what I was looking for. I felt
I need individualized attention and guidance. So I called
them and set up a meeting with them to go over my personal goals
and needs. I had a session the next day and I have never
looked back. I am 20 pounds lighter, healthier and in shape. Susan
and Wendy together help me 3 times a week reach levels
I never dreamed possible. Their constant support and motivation
get me up in the morning and to the studio. They are all about
proper form and performing each and every exercise perfect. I
love being sore and knowing I DID IT! It is all
about making yourself happier, doing for yourself so that you
can do for others. Now they pushed me into (yes pushed
me into) Spinning and I LOVE IT!
My husband said he has never seen me so happy and loving
exercise. My friends ask what are you doing? I say going
to ABSFIT!

BORED-NOT!
Boredom is never a factor when training with Wendy, Sue or Merri. Tired,
screaming muscles…Yes. Sweat, heart pumping, "I
can't believe I'm still standing," and gladly doing one more
push-up or lunge… Yes. Boredom. NO! A
personal training session is a half hour of intense "FAT BE
DAMNED!" workout. With Wendy's firm and exacting style,
she keeps me focused, wanting to learn and do the exercises correctly;
or Sue's energetic personality which is infectious causing me to
push on when my body says "no more, please." And then
there is Merri's delightful sense of "fun with exercise" which
seems to take some of the pain out of crunches. I can only
say thank you ladies, because the result is in a small amount of
time my body has responded by firming up giving me more energy
to deal with whatever dramas are happening in my life. I
feel healthy...

Wendy and Susan
changed my life! After working out fairly steadily for years
-on and off with personal trainers- with only moderate results,
I became disillusioned with exercise and training. Not quite ready
to throw in the towel, and looking for something new, I checked
out ABSolutely Fit. It was the best thing I could have done. The
personal training I get from Wendy and Susan is like no other!
The workouts are always new and always challenging. Having two
female trainers who really understand my goals and know how to
help me reach them has changed my whole view of working out. Instead
of dreading my workouts, I look forward to them . Susan and Wendy
vary the work-outs, mix them up -keep them fresh. The variation
keeps me focused, and keeps me from being bored. In addition to
their expertise in training, Susan and Wendy provide phenomenal
motivation as well as inspiration. Not only do I feel great about
working out, but I feel like I’m getting results as well.

IT’S OWNED BY WOMEN BUT NOT
JUST FOR WOMEN
When my friends first heard I was going
to ABSolutely Fit to start Personal training, they ALL said isn’t that owned by 2 women? Aren’t
the trainers there just girls? Well the answer to them was yes. I
was never into the group fitness and I wouldn’t be in a room
of 50 ladies, but when I heard that ABSolutely Fit was only Personal
training I knew I was in for a good “whipping”.
I train with both Susan and Wendy 3 sometime 4 days a week, if
I am lucky.
I have trained with trainers for the last 15 years and never did
I walk out feeling the way I do after I work out there.
Every muscle is shaking and walking is
a challenge to get the car. I happen to find it extremely funny that this 2 tiny
ladies can make a 45 year old, 6’2, 200 lb guy feel this
way.
My cardiovascular strength is the best it has ever been. My stamina
and endurance has improved dramatically.
So if you are a guy and you thought ABSFit
couldn’t give
you an amazing workout THINK AGAIN

KIDS NEED TO
BE FIT TOO
My name is Katie and I am 15 years old. I have never been
into school sports and I never exercised except for riding my bicycle. This
year in high school I want to play more sports and be more active. I
asked my mom and dad how I can learn to be more fit before school
starts again.
My mom knew that Wendy and Susan were always involved
in the schools and were part of the Wellness Council. We called
them and I started to exercise with them. They said it was
important to workout out with a trainer certified in Youth fitness,
as they are. There
are many things I shouldn't do like my mom does. My mom started
to exercise with me at the studio and we love it. I know
that I will be fit and healthy and stronger now. I am able to feel
confident now to try out for sports in high school. My self esteem
is so much better to. They taught me to always feel good
about who I am.
Thank you Susan and Wendy for teaching me to be healthy and in
shape.
